ISYT 2007 had received a generous grant from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), allowing for the sponsorship of several participants from Tibet, China, Bhutan, Nepal and India.
ISYT 2009 has received generous grants from the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE), the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO), the Université Paris Ouest - Nanterre La Défense, and Trace foundation
ISYT Kobe 2012 would like to continue this precedent, and is currently working on acquiring funding from various institutions and foundations.
