The fifth meeting of the International Seminar of Young Tibetologists will be held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, from the 3rd to the 7th of September, 2018. The conveners of the Seminar invite you to submit your abstract (max. 300 words) and CV.
Registration Process:
Registration on the EasyChair website will be possible from June 1st 2017 (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=isyt2018). You will first need to create an EasyChair account in order to submit your abstract and CV. Please download the How-tos both in English and བོད་ཡིག for the registration and submission process here Those participants who previously had an EasyChair account can update the account information, if necessary, and use it for the ISYT 2018 registration.
The deadline for submitting your CV and abstract is the 1st of August, 2017. Please note that abstracts which exceed 300 words will not be taken into consideration.
Your submission will undergo a thorough review process, after which the conveners will notify you of the outcome. You will receive this notification by email by the end of November 2017

Required Qualifications:
No more than six years have passed since your final degree.
or
No more than six years have passed since your first academic appointment.
If these guidelines are unclear in any way, or not applicable to your situation, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Masters students who, at the time of the Seminar, will have graduated, are required to provide a letter of recommendation from their supervisor.
Participants:
Participants are generally required to present a paper. Papers will be subjected to a time limit of 30 minutes (including 10 minutes for questions) and
may be presented in English or Tibetan. All papers should present the results of original research and should be based on the use of primary sources.
Participants should not present papers that have been read at other conferences or published elsewhere.
We regret to inform you that we will probably only be able to support a very limited number of Tibetan applicants from the PRC and South Asia. Please let
us know if you think you will need funding for your participation in the ISYT 2018 conference.
